Terms and Conditions
1. When a booking is made by e-mail, web site or telephone, the booking is subject to confirmation, and the client must accept, our terms and conditions.
2. Customers are entitled to cancel the reservation by email or telephone until 48 hours prior to arrival or departure.
3. Payment must be settled prior our vehicle’s departure from the destination, this rule applies to taxi service and the same for car hire service (before the collection). If you have booked the return transfer, this should be paid for at the same time. The option to pay upon arrival but before the departure for any requested service is only available to existing customers who have made an agreement with Algarve Taxi Link. This rule applies for any other service advertised in the website. Please note due to an internal policy of the taxi company the option "Pay to the Driver" is unacceptabel unless you present a valid explanation to do it but please note is always subject to authorization from the taxi company according to your explanation. Please note when you have made a payment to any of the available methods (accounts) of Algarve Taxi Link you should inform them in advance by e-mail to info@algarvetaxilink.com or by text message or call them to the following mobile numbers (+351) 963 467 900 or (+44) 7448 513 455 in order for them to confirm receipt of your payment so they can proceed with your booking request. Please note invoices should be ordered at the same time as your taxi booking request through the Algarve Taxi Calculator, by leaving a message in the comments box of your taxi booking form saying that you will need an invoice of the service, so the driver can deliver to you on the day of your departure, alternatively the taxi company can send the invoice to your e-mail address after they receive the information that your service has already been paid.
4.There is a charge for extra luggage such as sports equipment like golf clubs, bicycles or any other type of buggage.
5. Smoking is not allowed in our vehicles. We reserve the right (delegating it to our chauffeurs) to refuse to carry any person who is thought to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and/or whose behavior is considered to pose a threat to the chauffeur, the vehicle, or the other passenger(s).
6. Toll Tax is included in our prices.
7. Journeys requested between 23:00 and 06:30 will incur a 20% price increase.
8. Our taxi company does not practice dynamic pricing so our stated prices in EUROS in the Algarve Taxi Calculator are fixed but opened to a negotiation according on type and condition of the requested service and are also based in One Way Journey only.
9. No Shows will be charged in full, once not cancelled 48 hours prior to arrival or departure.
10. Arrivals: The maximum awaiting time of our services, at the Arrivals Terminal, is of one hour, concerning the time of arrival. In the case of a “No Show” our drivers are aloud to leave the area and the total ammount of the service will be charge.
11. Departures: Our Drivers are authorized to leave the awaiting area, after a No Show has occurred, considering the time stated on the reservation made by the customer, unless there is a previous notice justifying the delay, which must not exceed the 10 minutes period. After this 10 minutes period, an extra charge will be added, depending on the delay of the service in question.
12. Our vehicles have a maximum capacity of 8 people, whether it is adults, children or babies. According to the Portuguese law, it is not allowed to exceed this maximum capacity, in order to assure the safety of the passengers, therefore our drivers are not allowed to drive more than 8 passengers on our vehicles.
13. The use of the baby or booster seats is compulsory and punished by law, if not correctly used, therefore, we reserve our drivers the right not to allow children seating on their parent's lap.
14. There is no extra charge for baby, child or booster seats. These will be available upon request, when making with your reservation. If you need more than one baby seat, complete your reservation form with number of safety seats you need and the ages of your children.
Baby seats - for new-born babies until approximately 6 months of age;
Child seats - for young children from approximately 6 months of age until 2-3 years of age;
Booster seats - are suitable for young children;
15. The Portuguese law will be monitoring all of the previous contents, therefore we appeal to all customers to show respect, regarding our terms and conditions.
